How to make my eyes look bigger with makeup?

In photos, my eyes always look like they're kind of sinking in and they're small and don't stand out at all!





I have dark brown eyes and i usually wear black eyeliner on the bottom and mascara. But i found that maybe the eyeliner is making my eyes appear small?





I have a pretty small eyelid crease and almond shaped eyes. What kind/color of eyeshadow and eyeliner should i use?

[edit] StepsApply a light shade of eye shadow to the crease of the upper lid.


Curl eyelashes with a eyelash curler.


Apply a coat of thickening mascara on the top lashes only. Wait a few seconds for that to dry, and apply a second coat.


Use a sharpened black eye liner to the inner corner of the eye and top. Use your pinky to steady your hand, by placing it on your cheek, just below the eye.











[edit] TipsWhite pencil on the inner part of the eyelid will help make eyes appear bigger.


Gold pencil on the lids and inner part of the eyelid also make the eyes look bigger and give them a nice sheen.


If your eyes are normal-sized, and close to almond-shaped, apply mascara all the way round. This looks really dramatic, and is a real eye-opener.


If you want to add dimension to your eyes, add a slightly darker color above the crease.


If you also want to make your eyes appear wider, make your eyeliner thicker towards the edges of your eyes.


Put mascara especially on the lashes near to outer corner of your eye: these are the ones that need extra lift, and make a huge difference in eye appearance.


Get an eye makeover, at any department store at the makeup department. Ask them for various colors to use to make your eyes look larger.

yeah, black eyeliner actually makes your eyes look smaller. to brighten and make eyes pop, use a white eyeliner. trust me it doesnt look weird and it totally works. try something like this:

Try using plum colors which looks good w/ brown eyes. Line the upper lid very close to the lashes making the line fatter towards the outter eye.





Line the bottom lash line but very thin and only from about 1/3 of the way from the outer eye.





try using white liner on the lower rim which will make you look more awake. Lots of mascara on the top lashes and very little on the bottom. You want your upper eye lid to look like it's more open than the bottom.
don't apply eyeliner on the inside, but the outside. That's what stage actors do
You should use white eyeshadow on your eyelid and under your eye. Eyeliner does make your eye look smaller so it's a bad idea. Curl your eyelashes and put a lot of mascara.
I have brown, small eyes too. I wear smoky gray eye shadow, black eye liner on the top and bottom, and mascara. It brings my eyes out and makes them look big.
Try putting eyeliner and mascara on both the top and the bottom of your eye and use brown eyeliner that may also help.
well i think you should have a dark color eyeshadow like a dark lavender and just incase you didn't know eyeliner will really bring out your eyes to.

on the bottom half of ur eyes....


get some shimmery white eyeliner


apply a layer above ur black eyeliner


it'll make ur eyes look more clear and make it pop


and make it look big
try wearing sortof thick eyeliner on the top with a little cat eye edge and on the bottom wear a thin line of eyeliner just under the lashes only on the outer edge of your eyes but leave the inside corner of eye bare and wear mascara on top and bottom then add a little smoky colored eyeshadow. Thats what I do and ppl always think i have huge eyes.

white eyeliner on the inside of the the bottom eyelid. It may sound a little strange but it opens up your eye. I dont recommend black eyeliner on the bottom. Do you normally put it below the lashline or on the inside of the lid?
