How can i get a nice eye makeup thing going, without looking too done-up?

I never know how to do good eye-makeup that is casual but pretty. i want to go to school and have that eye catching effect, i really want people to be like, ';damn, she looks pretty!';. lol. well idk. please, some tips would be nice. How can i get a nice eye makeup thing going, without looking too done-up?
Virtual Makeover is great. You can play with colors and find a look you will love. Then it shows you how to apply your new look. Just click the link below. How can i get a nice eye makeup thing going, without looking too done-up?
try aplying light eye shadows ... wear a little mascara and put on a little koal / eye liner! wow!
for a more natural look for school i recommend using an ivory cream eye shimmer to the entire lid from eyleash to eybrow. then apply a medium shade e.g. caramel/gold from the eyelash to the socket line, into the crease and gently blending up over the bone slightly. You can intensify your eye by adding a slightly deeper shade e.g. mocha/bronze into the socket and outer corner, which will extend the width of the eye. then use a light shimmer in beige right under the browbone (under the end of the eyebrow) gently dot a white eyeliner on bottom rim of eye fro a more natural look which will really make your eyes ';pop';. lastly curl your already thick eyelashes with an eye lash curler and then aply two coats of brown or black mascara make sure that u dont let the mascara dry in between coats or this will make a horrible clumpy effect. lastly always keep the powdered eye colour/shimmer moving in an upward motion to lift the eye...... i hope this information helped you :)
start with darker shades in the corners of your eyes and as you procede out to your upper eylid use lighter tones.
use lash-curling mascara and just 1-2 layers of eyeliner. Also, if you want to use eyeshadow use a light shimmery color to make your eyes look really nice.
If you want to go for a more antural look then use brown mascara and bjrown eyeliner. If you want to use eyeshadow then use a light sparkly brown. Like tan.
for new girls to the make up field I suggest going to Clinique, they have the cleanest type make up, no racoon eyes, just a hint of eye color, they will do your make up for you and give you suggest a lighter touch. What ever color you have use the opposite color to enhance the shade of eyes, same with eyebrows, go to a proffessional to get the right start on plucking, a little goes a long way. Start out with powder not liquid make up. Next drink eight glasses of water a day, and eat 3 fruits and 3 veges a day to keep your liquids in the body moving.....easy on the meat....good luck
. first apply small amount of cream foundation to smoothen the surface.

. apply light shade of powdered eayeshadow that match ur skin.

.than apply medium shade from inside to outside but not whole only till middle.

. finally apply eyeliner and kajal

good luck!!!
I use Clinique. It is really affordable. The nice thing is that you can go to the make-up counter and get a free makeover. Tell them what you just asked in your question to us. I recommend just using a light shade over your whole eye like a white or light tan. Then use a eye liner on the upper and lower lid of your eyes and blend it in a little. For extra color use one of the color a specialist has suggest on the bottom half of your lids.
I have green eyes with a brown birth mark, so our eye color is very similar. I modeled years ago and this is how I put eyeshadow on. You will need 3 to 4 shades of eyeshadow, all in the same family. It is good to buy already together in a quad kit. It will already have exactly what you'll need.

First, if you wear foundation put this on first and you'll want to cover the lids of your eyes being careful not to get it on the brows. This will help prevent your shadow from fading.. Let that set for a minute. Then apply your base coat. This will be your light color. I use an off white, ivory, something like that. Apply to the crease of your eye. Then take a dark brown shade and put in the center crease of your eye extending it to the edge of your eye. Then you will take either the color you used as your base or another light color and put that right on the brow bone. Then using your last color, this color you want to have a soft sparkle in it, but still be in the browns. This will go right above the crease shadow.

For liner. Take a dark charcoal color of eyeshadow. You will need either an eyeshadow brush with a straight edge or a stiff eyeshadow applicator. Apply the charcoal color first on the top. You are going right across the top of your lashes, actually touching them. Extend to the far corner of the outer eye. This is what makes the eye pop and stand out. Now the same for the bottom with the charcoal eyeshadow from just a little way from the inside of the eye, touching the bottom lash. Extend to the outer corner to meet where the top ended. Now you'll want to add mascara. I use black or brown/black. Apply one coat. Start from the part of the lash closest to the eye and go to the very tip of your lash. Wait until it dries and apply a second coat. Apply one coat on the bottom
The best way to show off your features in a not so over the top way is to highlight them. Find a nice complementary light color shadow to apply to the top of your brow bone and then also highlight with that same color on the inside corner of your eyes. this will make your eyes pop. then use a really pretty dark shade mascara to really make that stand out. if your brows are groomed well you will look a natural pretty instead of makeup pretty. Hope that helps.
Use natural colors...its really hard to answer this question without knowing your skin color. What works for me are light colors that match what ever I'm wearing yet compliment my eye color!
Buy some eyeshadows that have shimmer in them. And pick out colors that complment your eye color.
ok. first, do black eye liner. then, do a light colour on your whole eyelid, and on the outside corner, put a darker colour that matches your outfit, (blue shirt, blue eye shadow). then after that, use a mascara that gives you longer fuller lashes.
