Why do girls look WORSE without eye makeup?

when you see before and after pics of women without eye makeup, they usually look worse...why is this? is it b/c media never shows women without it so mentally it's ugly?





i mean, when girls wake up, they NEVER wanna show their face to a guy, and run to the bathroom to put on make up...so do girls agree that they look worse???Why do girls look WORSE without eye makeup?
Not necessarily true because I never wear make-up and I don't think I look that bad. I also know some girls look worse WITH eye make-up, and yes they put it on right.


However I kind of know what you mean. Maybe girls are supposed to emphasize their eyes a little more than guys. It's just like how long eyelashes are better than short eyelashes on girls. Well, it depends. Sometimes, people DO look ugly without eye makeup (me for example). Others, look cute with and without eye makeup. Unfortunately, when they compare how they look without makeup to how they look with makeup, they seem to prefer the artificial look. Also, after years of wearing eye makeup, the makeup can actually distort your eye shape. It really depends on the looks of the person.
Aw thats harsh. No I don't agree, because dolled up eyes serve to distract you from the less flattering features people have. Generally no one has ';ugly'; eyes so emphasizing the eyes creates a beautiful focal point that distracts from any less flattering features someone might have. I've also seen people with eyes so gorgeous that they had no need for makeup to enhance them. I've never been afraid to let people see me without makeup. You have to once in awhile so that you don't become a slave to piling it on just so you can leave your house.
Depends on the person. Some girls I know, ahem, one in particular, REFUSES to be seen without maleup on. (That's because she piles so much makeup on that te difference is totally atonishin). And maybe you think this way because of the subtle (or perhaps extreme) difference between a girl with no makeup on as opposed to a girl with lots of it on. As I said, it all depends. A girl I know is horrible wit makeup on, but one of the most beautiful I have ever seen witout it.
I don't think all girls look bad. I personally don't mind waking up to my boyfriend looking natural, makeup does enhance beauty, but at the same time, girls are beautiful natural as well. Yes, I agree that the media never shows women without makeup, ever. That's why people get the perception that without eye makeup or any makeup at all, girls look worse, but they truly don't.
Because the eyes dont pop and they look dark and nasty concler covers the dark circles eyesahdow brightens the eyes mascara pops and eyeliner looks great whats not to love ?? not everyone looks good without make up why bas on it? if its what they like I love to wear make up we dont bas on natural girls cause they dont wear it
depends on the girl, its always different.. like facial proportions and things.. i actually dont suit eye make up =\ apart from mascara. but i dont look that bad in the morning, i think its as you get older, you start to look worse in the morning o.O

No. It all depends on the person. If you have very discolored skin, dark circles under your eyes, or dark eyelids, you may look better with makeup. Same goes for people whose eyes are too small, large, far apart or close together. Doing makeup the right way hides these ';flaws,'; so many people will feel they look better with makeup on.

there are very few women in the world that can pull off beauty without eye makeup. it's the one part of makeup that has stayed consistent throughout history. Women from all races rely on it.
I guess it's the dead look, it's not considered pretty, unless you're obsessed with heroin chic look, heh.





I used to not like the look of women without makeup, but now I'm starting to like it more.
Well i dont put make-up on that much.. i only put some occasionally..


and people say that i look good without make-up on, some people even tells me not to put too much make-up because i look pretty without them. so i think its really up to the person..
i think my eyes just look plain without it,


i dont mind that much not wearing eyeliner or mascara in public. if i look like dirt whatever. im never going to see half of those people again.,
I think maybe the eye makeup might take away any sign of being tired and gives color to the eyes-idk exactly though

we look sleepy with out eye make up, and looking sleepy generally means looking ';messed up';
yea, thats the purpose of makeup, to enhance beauty!
Make up is usually to enhance your features. If you don't have nice features in the first place, with make up it wont make much of a difference except it's more colorful. Eye make up brings out the eye color and the eye shape. When a girl doesn't want to show her face to you is because you probably never seen her with out it and they are afraid you won't except them, and are not very confident. (because you are used to seeing them with make up and it looks very different with out, so it seems ugly because it's plain.) A white wall isn't as interesting as a painted and decorated wall. So maybe if you've always seen the person without make up you wont think they are ugly, when in fact if it were the same person you've always seen in make up, you would think they don't look attractive with out make up. To me when I see a girl with make up I can imagine how she would look with out it, the same but less color. It's not fair for blond girls like me because brunettes eye lashes and brows are already dark so they stand out and mine are light so you cant see them even if they look good. That is what make up is for, to show the features clearly, at least that's what I think. But you can't compare a natural looking girl to a make up girl because they look too different, but you can compare a girl with make up to a girl with make up, or vise verse. They are both beautiful in their own way. Plus when people wake up their eyes look kinda tired and shrink ed so I don't blame them. Guys tend to not care. lol


So yeah make up makes a person look less plain, if nobody wore make up everybody would be kinda plain, but as females we have to attract the males so we have to be extra decorated unlike them.
